LOCATION: Maragondon, Cavite ELEVATION: not yet available LEVEL: Minor Climb, Level II, Moderate JUMP-OFF POINT: Maragondon Cavite
Mount Marami is situated in the province of Maragondon, Cavite. Its almost a 3 hour trip from Manila. The journey to the campsite is a 5 hour trek. The long and hot trail will make u bleed for sweat. And if your 3liters of water dont make your thirst go away... better step up the gas...because the heat of the sun will catch up on you. Near the end of the trail will lead you to a breathtaking view of the Philippines version of the Grand Canyon. From then on... as you arise in a cogon part of the area...you can see a preview of the landscape of the Cavite area. The trail comprises of light to medium vegetation. At the SUMMIT, which is a little over 5 minutes climb from the campsite, you can see the whole countryside of Cavite (at 360 degrees) and the neighboring mountains like Mount Pico De Loro and Mount Batulao. It is only a minor climb but it is as challenging as the sweat and thirst that your body cannot endure. |
