A Symphony of Lights is a synchronised building exterior decorative light and laser multimedia display, featuring 44 buildings on both sides of the Victoria Harbour of Hong Kong accompanied by symphonic music. The technology was developed by Australian firm Laservision and cost approximately 44 million HK dollars. It has attracted over 4 million visitors and locals so far.

Guinness World Records has named A Symphony of Lights the world's largest permanent light and sound show.

Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board. Displayed every night with good weather at 8pm Hong Kong Time, the show is an orchestration of music, decoration lights, laser light displays, and pyrotechnic fireworks. The multimedia light and sound show lasts for about 14 minutes.

The best vantage points include the "Avenue of Stars" on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, on the waterfront promenade outside the Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai and on sightseeing ferries (i.e. Star Ferry) running across the Victoria Harbor. The Show's music and narration live at the "Avenue of Stars" and the promenade outside the Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai every night. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the narration is in English, while it is in Mandarin on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and Cantonese on Sundays.

Special pyrotechnic fireworks will be added to the show on the rooftop of participating buildings on both sides of the habour or stages off at the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront. It will be added on special events or holidays, example like Chinese New Year and Christmas.

Tian Tan Buddha is a large bronze statue of the Buddha, completed in 1993, and located at Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, in Hong Kong. Also known as the Big Buddha, it is the world's tallest outdoor seated bronze Buddha. The statue is located near Po Lin Monastery and symbolizes the harmonious relationship between man and nature, people and religion. It is a major center of Buddhism in Hong Kong, and is also a popular tourist attraction.

Visitors can reach the site by bus or taxi, travelling first to Mui Wo (also known as "Silvermine Bay") via ferry from the Outlying Islands piers in Central (pier No.6), or to Tung Chung station via the MTR. Visitors may then travel to and from and Buddha via the following bus routes:

LOCATION: CAUSEWAY BAY / VICTORIA PARK / THE PEAK (VICTORIA PEAK)

Me and my officemates (Allan S., Allan P., & Philip) decides on our day-off to go on a photo trip on top of the highest point in Hong Kong.

1. Causeway Bay or East Point is a heavily built-up area of Hong Kong, located on the northern shore of Hong Kong Island, and covering parts of Wan Chai and Eastern districts. The Chinese name is also romanized as Tung Lo Wan as in Tung Lo Wan Road. The rent in the shopping areas of Causeway Bay is ranked the second in the world, with the Fifth Avenue (Manhattan) of the NYC being the first.

2. Victoria Park is a public park in Hong Kong, named after Queen Victoria. It is located in Causeway Bay, in the north of Hong Kong Island, between Causeway Bay and Tin Hau MTR stations. It is part of the Eastern District, along the border with Wan Chai District. Victoria Harbour is in the north of the park, while Hong Kong Central Library locates in the south. In the early 2000s the park underwent a major revamp.

3. Victoria Peak is a mountain in Hong Kong. It is also documented as The Peak locally, and Mount Austin. The mountain is located in the western half of the Hong Kong Island. With an altitude of 552 m, it is the highest mountain on the island, although far from the highest Tai Mo Shan in the territory.

The actual summit of Victoria Peak is occupied by a radio telecommunications facility and is closed to the public. However the surrounding area comprises a mixture of publicly accessible parkland, and high value residential land, and it is this area that is normally meant by the name The Peak. The Peak offers spectacular views over central Hong Kong, the Harbour and surrounding islands, and is a major tourist attraction.

for everyone

Ang saya! Parang bumalik ako sa pagkabata! Iba ang feeling mga tsong! Ang pinapangarap ng bawat bata sa mundo ay napuntahan ko na! It's a very strange feeling. I already had goosebumps when i entered the Disney Train at Sunny Bay Station. What more to a child who saw Mickey Mouse for the first time in his/her life. It's surreal!
